Blue Agapanthus is a evergreen shrub/perennial that form in a clump of arching strap-like leaves 1.5' to 2' tall and wide. The soft blue/purple flowers grow in a cluster that rise 2 foot above the foliage in the summer. This plant can be grown in containers or be a beautiful accent plant to most landscapes. They do best in full sun but locally in partial shade due to the extreme heat of Louisiana summers. Agapanthus love a moist and well drained soil. They are deer and rabbit resistant, and attract lovely pollinators such as butterflies, bees and birds. These African Lilies are toxic if consumed by humans or pets!
