The Midnight Flare Azalea is easy to grow in a moist but well-drained acidic soil of average or better fertility that is rich in organic matter. Morning sun and/or evening sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun is ideal. It can grow to be about 4 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 4 feet. It has a low canopy with a typical clearance of 1 foot from the ground.
