Split-leaf Philodendron is one of the most dramatic tropical plants that thrive in the desert. Large leaves to 2' long and 18' wide have'splits' making them look like elephant's ears. They grow very well in full shade indoors or out. In morning sun they will have smaller leaves. Split-leaf Philodendrons are native to South America, namely Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina. In the wild, the plant can grow impressively large - up to 10 feet tall and 15 feet wide.
